Do you have true love or in reality is your love tainted with anger, self-righteousness, your own personal misery and fear? Is it borne out of Truth or Deception? When you feel you’ve been wronged and claim to love your brother or sister but in the background amidst the darkness you’re surrounded by, seek to harm or ultimately destroy the very one’s you claim so adamantly to love rather than leaving it in Father’s hands to take care of, is it true love or is it instead, love motivated out of Satan’s teachings rather than Father’s?
“If I have [the gift of] prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so that I can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.”
Some of us have been, or at one time were given, the gift of prophecy so that we may understand the Word’s mysteries and attain lifesaving knowledge. True love is leaving all things in Father’s hands and when we feel we’ve been wronged turning to prayer rather than retaliation. When you take revenge into your own hands you reveal that you have lost your faith in Father, the One you claim to love most, and the One who can move mountains through you. You have revealed to others that your faith is not true and your love is not real. You may keep professing your faith and love but your love it is tainted because you have abandoned the Truth and valuable teachings of the
Word by walking willingly into Satan’s snare. In doing so, you have revealed yourself to a child of Satan and you do not have true love just as Satan does not have true love and therefore, you are nothing.
“And if I donate all my goods to feed the poor, and if I give my body to be burned, but do not have love, I gain nothing.”
To profess with your mouth that your love is pure and that you have the best intentions for others in mind and for those you claim to love so very much while your actions indicate otherwise, is not true love. It is Satan’s love. The love that blinds and directs those he loves down the dark and wide path of destruction.
“Love is patient; love is kind. Love does not envy; is not boastful; is not conceited; does not act improperly; is not selfish; is not provoked; does not keep a record of wrongs; finds no joy in unrighteousness, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends.”
Woe to those who say but do not do.
