On Judging

Many Christians today cling to the following verse, which they believe gives them the right to Judge others so long as it’s done “Righteously”: John 7:24 “Stop judging according to outward appearances; rather judge according to righteous judgment.”

Interestingly enough, they fail to recognize that this passage relates directly back to the following: Luke 6:37 “Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.”

Bottom line, none of us can judge a book by it’s cover. The contents of the book are what tell you what’s really inside and the Father and his Holy Angels are the only one’s who are capable of telling what’s on the inside. We cannot judge people by their outer appearance because we don’t know their true heart condition. All are sinners and fall short of God’s glory. So, none of us are fit to judge one another.

Romans 3:9, 10, 23. Remember what Jesus said; if one has no sin, cast the first stone. No one could because they were all sinners. We are ALL born under secondary sin. He was revealing no one on earth has the right to judge.

Who does righteous judgment rest with?

Jeremiah 11:20 But, LORD of Hosts, who judges righteously, who tests heart and mind, let me see Your vengeance on them, for I have presented my case to you.

Psalm 96:13 before the LORD, for He is coming – for He is coming to judge the earth. He will judge the world with righteousness and the peoples with His faithfulness.

1 Peter 1:17 And if you address as Father the One who judges impartially based on each one’s work, you are to conduct yourselves in reverence during this time of temporary residence.

Christians should not be critical of one another, nor judging one another.

Matthew 7:1-2 Do not judge, so that you won’t be judged. For with the judgment you use, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

Romans 14:4 Who are you to criticize another’s household slave? Before his own Lord he stands or falls. And stand he will! For the Lord is able to make him stand.

Romans 14:10-13 But you, why do you criticize your brother? Or you, why do you look down on your brother? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God. For it is written: As I live, says the Lord, every knee will bow to Me, and every tongue will give praise to God. So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God. The Law of Love – Therefore, let us no longer criticize one another, but instead decide not to put a stumbling block in your brother’s way.

James 4:11-12 Don’t criticize one another, brothers. He who criticizes a brother or judges his brother criticizes the law and judges the law.

But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge. There is one lawgiver and judge who is able to save and to destroy. But who are you to judge your neighbor?

If you’re a Minister such as us, in a position of oversight of others, we’re to judge them righteously in their conduct. It is a surface judgment ONLY based on the person’s conduct and not a judgment of their heart.

1 Corinthians 5:12-13 For what is it to me to judge outsiders? Do you not judge those who are inside? But God judges outsiders. Put away the evil person from among yourselves.

1 Corinthians 6:2-3 Or do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest cases? Do you not know that we will judge angels—not to speak of things pertaining to this life?

Deuteronomy 16:18-19 Appoint judges and officials for your tribes in all your towns the LORD your God is giving you. They are to judge the people with righteous judgment. Do not deny justice or show partiality [to anyone]. Do not accept a bribe, for it blinds the eyes of the wise and twists the words of the righteous.

You serve to warn of the judgment of those whom make up the Temple Class. The failed Shepherds. This is in addition to the masses that are warned of the coming wrath, because those Shepherds share a heavier guilt.

Malachi 3:1, 5 “See, I am going to send My messenger, and he will clear the way before Me. Then the Lord you seek will suddenly come to His temple, the Messenger of the covenant you desire—see, He is coming,” says the LORD of Hosts. “I will come to you in judgment, and I will be ready to witness against sorcerers and adulterers; against those who swear falsely; against those who oppress the widow and the fatherless, and cheat the wage earner; and against those who deny [justice to] the foreigner. They do not fear Me,” says the LORD of Hosts.

1 Peter 2:5 you yourselves, as living stones, are being built into a spiritual house for a holy priesthood to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

1 Peter 4:17 For the time has come for judgment to begin with God’s household; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who disobey the gospel of God?

2 Corinthians 5:6-10 Therefore, though we are always confident and know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord—for we walk by faith, not by—yet we are confident and satisfied to be out of the body and at home with the Lord. Therefore, whether we are at home or away, we make it our aim to be pleasing to Him. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each may be repaid for what he has done in the body, whether good or bad.

People of all nations are put on judgment when Christ finishes the taking of Kingdom power.

Matthew 25:31-32 “When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, just as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.

(This is when he arrives after the Rapture, for Armageddon. The judgment of the wrath to be administered.)

The Basis for judgment.

Matthew 25:40, 45 And the King will answer them, ‘I assure you: Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of Mine, you did for Me. Then He will answer them, ‘I assure you: Whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for Me either.

John 13:20 I assure you: The one who receives whomever I send receives Me, and the one who receives Me receives Him who sent Me.”

John 12:48 The one who rejects Me and doesn’t accept My sayings has this as his judge: the word I have spoken will judge him on the last day.

John 3:19 This, then, is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved darkness rather than the light because their deeds were evil.

Adverse judgment means everlasting destruction.

Matthew 25:41, 46 Then He will also say to those on the left, ‘Depart from Me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the Devil and his angels! “And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

2 Thessalonians 1:9 These will pay the penalty of everlasting destruction, away from the Lord’s presence and from His glorious strength,

2 Peter 3:7 But by the same word the present heavens and earth are held in store for fire, being kept until the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.

Favorable judgment means preservation to prospect of everlasting life under Kingdom Rule.

Matthew 25:34, 46 Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. “And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.

Execution of Divine judgment in the day of Yahweh’s vengeance.

Isaiah 61:2 to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor, and the day of our God’s vengeance; to comfort all who mourn.

Revelation 18:21 Then a mighty angel picked up a stone like a large millstone and threw it into the sea, saying: In this way, Babylon the great city will be thrown down violently and never be found again.

Revelation 19:1 After this I heard something like the loud voice of a vast multitude in heaven, saying: Hallelujah! Salvation, glory, and power belong to our God.

Jeremiah 25:31 The tumult reaches to the ends of the earth because the LORD brings a case against the nations. He enters into judgment with all flesh. As for the wicked, He hands them over to the sword – [This is] the LORD’s declaration.

Joel 3:2, 11-14 I will gather all the nations and take them to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. I will enter into judgment with them there because of My people, My inheritance Israel. The nations have scattered the Israelites in foreign countries and divided up My land. Come quickly, all you surrounding nations; gather yourselves. Bring down Your warriors there, LORD. Let the nations be roused and come to the Valley of Jehoshaphat, for there I will sit down to judge all the surrounding nations. Swing my sickle because the harvest is ripe. Come and trample [the grapes] because the winepress is full; the wine vats overflow because the wickedness of the nations is great. Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the Day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.

Revelation 19:11, 13, 15 Then I saw heaven opened, and there was a white horse! Its rider is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. He wore a robe stained with blood, and His name is called the Word of God. From His mouth came a sharp sword, so that with it He might strike the nations. He will shepherd them with an iron scepter. He will also trample the winepress of the fierce anger of God, the Almighty.

Jude 6:14-15 and He has kept, with eternal chains in darkness for the judgment of the great day, angels who did not keep their own position but deserted their proper dwelling.

Revelation 20:2 He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for 1,000 years.

Depicted by past executions of Divine Judgment

Luke 17:26-30 Just as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be in the days of the Son of Man: people went on eating, drinking, marrying and giving in marriage until the day Noah boarded the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. It will be the same as it was in the days of Lot: people went on eating, drinking, buying, selling, planting, building. But on the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained from heaven and destroyed them all. It will be like that on the day the Son of Man is revealed.

2 Peter 2:5-6 and if He didn’t spare the ancient world, but protected Noah, a preacher of righteousness, and seven others, when He brought a flood on the world of the ungodly; and if He reduced the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to ashes and condemned them to ruin, making them an example to those who were going to be ungodly;

Jude 7 In the same way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around them committed sexual immorality and practiced perversions, just as they did, and serve as an example by undergoing the punishment of eternal fire.

Judgment Day

Matthew 12:36 I tell you that on the day of judgment people will have to account for every careless word they speak.

Christ Jesus appointed by Yahweh as Judge

John 5:22 The Father, in fact, judges no one but has given all judgment to the Son,

Acts 17:31 because He has set a day on which He is going to judge the world in righteousness by the Man He has appointed. He has provided proof of this to everyone by raising Him from the dead.”

Acts 10:40-42 God raised up this man on the third day and permitted Him to be seen, not by all the people, but by us, witnesses appointed beforehand by God, who ate and drank with Him after He rose from the dead. He commanded us to preach to the people, and to solemnly testify that He is the One appointed by God to be the Judge of the living and the dead.

The Christians faithful to Christ whom receive life in the heavenly Kingdom share in the judging.

1 Corinthians 6:2 Or do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest cases?

Matthew 19:28 Jesus said to them, “I assure you: In the Messianic Age, when the Son of Man sits on His glorious throne, you who have followed Me will also sit on 12 thrones, judging the 12 tribes of Israel.

Revelation 20:4 Then I saw thrones, and people seated on them who were given authority to judge. [I] also [saw] the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of God’s word, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and who had not accepted the mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with the Messiah for 1,000 years.

Judgment to righteousness of those Crossing over, and death of those found unworthy – classified as “the dead.” Dead in Yahweh’s memory by adverse Judgment.

2 Timothy 4:1 Before God and Christ Jesus, who is going to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom, I solemnly charge you:

Revelation 20:12-13 I also saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life, and the dead were judged according to their works (by what was written in the books. Then the sea gave up its dead, and Death and Hades gave up their dead; all were judged according to their works.

Acts 24:15 (Some Converts do an about face to life in the Kingdom.) And I have a hope in God, which these men themselves also accept, that there is going to be a resurrection, both of the righteous and the unrighteous.

Some who Christ said will be present on Judgment Day.

Matthew 10:14-15 If anyone will not welcome you or listen to your words, shake the dust off your feet when you leave that house or town. I assure you: It will be more tolerable on the day of judgment for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah than for that town.

Matthew 11:20-24 Then He proceeded to denounce the towns where most of His miracles were done, because they did not repent: “Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles that were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented in sackcloth and ashes long ago! But I tell you, it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon on the day of judgment than for you. And you, Capernaum, will you be exalted to heaven? You will go down to Hades. For if the miracles that were done in you had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until today. But I tell you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom on the day of judgment than for you.”

Judgment Day of the Kingdom to last 1000 year in length to learn “The Way.”

Revelation 20:4-6 Then I saw thrones, and people seated on them who were given authority to judge. [I] also [saw] the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of God’s word, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and who had not accepted the mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with the Messiah for 1,000 years. The rest of the dead did not come to life until the 1,000 years were completed. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is the one who shares in the first resurrection! The second death has no power over these, but they will be priests of God and the Messiah, and they will reign with Him for 1,000 years.

Some of Mankind prove worthy of everlasting life. Others receive condemnatory Judgment of everlasting destruction.

John 5:28-29 Do not be amazed at this, because a time is coming when all who are in the graves will hear His voice and come out—those who have done good things, to the resurrection of life, but those who have done wicked things, to the resurrection of judgment.

Revelation 20:14-15 Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. And anyone not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.

Hebrews 6:2 teaching about ritual washings, laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.
